About PRØworks

PRØworks is the company’s division that manages all of its Consumer Products initiatives.  It also serves as its Creative Agency; a Center of Excellence around brand development, packaging and creative design, copywriting and industrial design.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Sales to develop, manage and lead the sales channel and customer strategies, programs and organizational development for each of our consumer brands and their respective product portfolios. Several of our brands are launching their first products this summer. The brands will be sold through typical CPG wholesale and retail distribution, online with direct-to-consumer sales and distribution programs, and in appropriate specialty channels and venues for the target audiences of each Brand.  You will own the development of these sales channel strategies and be responsible for ensuring that every aspect related to the sales and customer management programs is handled appropriately. We expect you to understand best practices for CPG sales, channel and customer management that you will implement here. This is a key role that reports directly to the President of PRØworks. You will be based at our headquarters in Culver City.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities):

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of company products, innovation pipeline and corporate strategy
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic sales and channel penetration strategies and forecasts for each of our consumer brands
  • Build out company’s sales capabilities, aligning with the company’s corporate objectives, through the appropriate mix of internal and external sales resources
  • Strengthen and grow direct sales relationships with key customers
  • Develop and implement “best in class” sales techniques, processes, tools, performance metrics and appropriate compensation/incentive structures for your sales resources
  • Drive successful sales execution across the customer base through increased sales effectiveness and account penetration efforts. Develop programs for national accounts
  • Work closely with PRØworks’ Brand Managers on defining and executing revenue targets
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies with brand & marketing teams
  • Develop and track sales forecasts, communicate/coordinate actively with executive team on progress
  • Maintain awareness of customer Accounts Receivable past 60 days and coordinate with Finance team
  • Create internal feedback loop on customer needs to ensure continuous improvement in our product innovation and marketing efforts
  • Maintain awareness of general economic conditions, industry and competitive dynamics and determine the potential impact on revenue and profitability for the company.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing or a related field is required; MBA is preferred
  • 10+ years of increasing Sales leadership experience
  • 7+ years of experience in CPG sales
  • Direct responsibility for developing sales and channel strategies for new CPG launches; beverage, beauty and pet experience is a strong plus
  • Proven success managing all personnel and functions associated with the sales area of a CPG company
  • Experience with an omni-channel sales strategy (B2B Retail Customers- food, drug, mass, club, specialty, Consumer Shopper Retail in same, DTC, etc.)
  • Track record of having a measurable, transformational impact on revenue and growth in prior roles
  • Demonstrated success in attracting, building, and retaining high performance teams and sales leaders
  • Experience and knowledge with sales performance tracking programs ie. Hubspot, Salesforce etc. and familiarity with Google docs.
  • Proven ability to instill discipline around the selling process and in elevating sales team performance
  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to convert corporate & brand strategy into actionable sales initiatives
  • Resilience, tenacity, & diplomacy (high EQ)
  • A passion for success balanced with a strong moral compass

Other Considerations

  • This role will require a high frequency of travel
  • Infrequently, the job may require physical lifting of product (samples of crates, trays, pallets, etc.)
