We are looking for a performance dynamo to join the marketing team here at PRØHBTD, working out of our Culver City headquarters. This position reports directly to our head of marketing.



With a mission to lead cannabis from the black market to the supermarket, PRØHBTD creates and markets lifestyle and wellness brands to global audiences, overturning the taboos and stereotypes of the status quo cannabis vernacular and continually pushing it toward the mainstream.

The Role:

The right person for this position thrives in an ever-changing environment with a diversity of projects and acquisition goals. You know how to optimize every dollar.  You are an analytics wizard and enjoy the process of building campaigns and testing to get the best ROI possible. You are diversified in experience from driving traffic to e-commerce conversion as well as getting the right audience on content.  In addition to running and designing campaigns under your full control, you are adept at harnessing outside agency and tech partners to further expand our bandwidth and reach. You can drive revenue, help build brand awareness, and are able to articulate the most technical aspects of the role across the company in ways others can understand to help inform them on what is working. You are ahead of the curve with bringing new ideas to reach our goals, not just relying on yesterday’s typical performance marketing tactics.


We are also a rapidly growing startup, and your talents will often be tasked into adjacent areas of expertise. What You Will Do (key responsibilities):

  • All aspects of ROI producing traffic and acquisition generation for, lead generation campaigns for our content and sales teams, as well as for the new CPG brands we are launching, inclusive of:
    • Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
    • Social Media Advertising
    • Affiliate Marketing
    • Partnership Marketing
    • Programmatic Media Buying
    • Omnichannel/CRM/Remarketing
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing in the development of paid budgets by business unit
  • Responsible for the daily management of each budget
  • Establish ROI benchmarks and overall performance metrics
  • Build, execute and optimize all performance campaigns including campaigns you run directly as an individual contributor
  • Develop executive reporting on all campaigns
  • Oversee day to day relationships and management of digital performance agencies and other partners and vendors that match to the above responsibilities
  • Identify and test new ad tech partners as warranted
  • Educate the greater marketing and brand teams on best practices
  • Implement an affiliate marketing program, leveraging our unique content positioning as part of the mix
  • Partner cross-functionally with the brand and marketing teams to create cohesive plans that maximize partnerships to drive traffic and hit acquisition goals.
  • Extreme focus on KPI’s- revenue, traffic, customer growth
  • Ensure all campaigns and tactics are optimized for a mobile-first world
  • Execute on keyword strategies from sourcing and implementation to measurement and optimization

What You Will Need

  • A deep skill set and enthusiasm around growing eCommerce and gaining customers with the willingness and ability to have both a strategic high-level approach while being on the ground level executing all aspects of the function of performance marketing
  • Self-starter attitude, collaborative approach.
  • A master of analytics from Google Analytics to partner tools like Ads Manager, Ad Words,
  • Familiarity with tools ranging from the basics of Excel to Tableau, Outbrain to Tableau
  • Top notch quantitative and qualitative abilities - data-driven, but not robotic
  • Deep knowledge of SEM, Adwords, Content Distribution Networks, Affiliate Marketing partners, Shopify, Customer Segmentation, Landing Page optimization, Wordpress and A/B multivariate testing.
  • Strong aptitude to multitask complexity while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Experience managing third party partners to reach key channels including monitoring their performance
  • Results orientation, profit focus
  • Willingness to evolve and hunger to always learn as the market and industry develop
  • Excellent analytical, communication and personal skills with the ability to manage up and down the org
  • Great time management and prioritization skills
  • Experience in categories ranging from consumer packaged goods such as wellness, health, and beauty to alcohol and tobacco is a plus
  • 6+ years experience in a digital marketing position with an eCommerce focus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
