Senior Director IT Operations and Security

My name is Bill Stevens and I have a new full time Senior Director, IT Operations and Security opportunity available that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work schedule will be a hybrid one, three days a week in the office and two days remote, the firms offices are located in either Raleigh, North Carolina, Woburn, Massachusetts or Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate should be capable of working in either one of the firms offices. Candidates should be capable of working on Eastern Standard Time (EST). The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship.

Responsibilities:
Leading a growing team of five to ten individuals; manage the company-wide computing Infrastructure environment inclusive of collaboration and communications technologies.
Accountable for the enterprise IT infrastructure including (but not limited to): information security including endpoint security, network engineering and operations, computer operations and server administration, data loss prevention (DLP), conference room audio-visual equipment, user administration, change and release management, business continuity (including disaster recovery), telecom (including video conferencing), IT asset management, and field support.
Manage the Microsoft 365 (Office 365) environment, ensuring secure and resilient protection of the data.
Propose transformative technology based on cost-benefit analysis and the need to address key capabilities that align with enterprise requirements.
Lead systems and vendor evaluation efforts for supported functions.
Ensure that controls and monitoring procedures are in place to ensure availability of critical systems with minimal service interruptions.
Manage enterprise collaboration tools: Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
Lead cyber security monitoring and response capability improvements, ensuring a safe and secure enterprise environment.
Define and lead the enterprise incident response plan.
Publish and maintain SOPs and policy documents related to areas of responsibility.
In collaboration with company leadership, publish and maintain end user (employee) training and policies related to cyber security and appropriate use of enterprise computing resources.
Manage external managed service providers and cloud-based infrastructure, delivering outstanding service to our users while managing costs.
Manage the infrastructure budget.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field with fifteen or more years as an information technology leader. A minimum of five (5) years managing a team of five (5) or more direct reports.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience covering the following technology domains: cyber security, network engineering and operations, cloud platform architecture and SaaS solution synthetic monitoring, server management and monitoring, Azure Active Directory and IAM, telecom, video conferencing, desktop support, and ticket management. Related certifications a plus.
Skills and experience with V-Sphere or Hyper-V. Experience with container technology is a plus.
Proven record of success managing Azure or AWS environments in a cost-effective manner.
Communication skills for highly technical discussions as well as understanding the needs of less technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to build and lead a lean, high-performance team.
Ability to work on-site 3+ days per week at one of the firms primary office locations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
MBA or advanced relevant technical degree strongly desired.
Prior experience within an FDA regulated business (Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or Biotechnology) with an understanding of GxP compliance and Computer Systems Validation.
Experience building and leading a cyber-security program.
Prior experience remediating a major event a plus.
Prior experience with SIEM and SOAR capability deployments also a plus.
Experience with deployment and management of an ITSM platform, to include CMDB capabilities.
Any of the following certifications will be considered a plus only:
Cyber security: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, SSCP or equivalent
Network: CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
IT Operations and Project Management: ITIL, PMI-PMP
MCSE, Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications
