My name is Bill Stevens and I have a new six month plus remote Manager, Public Affairs opportunity for a major firm that is located in Foster City, California that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. Candidates should be capable of working on Pacific Standard Time (PST). The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship. The firm has a vaccination policy.

This position pays $100.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis or $115.00 per hour on a Corp basis. The Corp rate is for independent contractors only and not third-party firms.

Reporting to the Director, social media, this person will lead the development and execution of the company’s human resources social media program. This person will partner closely with the various human resources teams, especially talent acquisition, and the corporate communications team. This person will be a key member of the corporate social media team and will also provide strategic content development support in other areas.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:
Serve as the social media expert in the development and execution of the company’s human resources social media program, working with colleagues across the function to produce engaging, vibrant and best-in-industry social media content
Partner with both human resources and corporate communications’ external agency partners to develop social media content and campaigns, overseeing creation of paid social strategy and ensuring that high-quality content is delivered on time and with appropriate quality control
Collaborate with colleagues on corporate content team to contribute to and execute against an editorial calendar, reflecting events and trends, externally and internally
Work closely with media and analytics team to use data to drive campaigns and ensure we are reaching target audiences
Assist with social media platform strategy and execution and provide expertise to positioning content on social media
Use data and analytics as a tool to guide the development and placement of content

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
BS/BA degree in communications, liberal arts, business or scientific-oriented field and 10 years of relevant experience
At least 5-7 years of experience in social media and in a team setting
Previous experience working in HR-specific social media
Deep understanding of paid/organic social media
Knowledge of analytics frameworks that help teams understand data and how it impacts communications efforts
Demonstrated experience developing and executing a social/digital media strategy from ideation to execution
Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and agencies
Demonstrated success in managing multiple high-urgency projects simultaneously; flexibility is essential

Top 3 Skill Sets: strong social media skills, strong writing skills, experience with HR and/or HR communications,
Top 3 Nice to Have Skill Sets (not required, but nice to have): strategy planning experience, editing experience, experience doing social media for a biopharma company

Required Degree or Certification: Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Human Resources
