Business Analyst with GuideWire ClaimsCenter OR extensive Property and Casualty Insurance domain experience.
Major firm located in Columbia, South Carolina is seeking eight Business Analysts for twelve to twenty four month plus contract and full time positions. The ideal candidates will be working in Columbia, South Carolina. The primary responsibilities will include identification and documentation of business needs, the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of our client both oral and written form-while serving as a liaison across business areas and between business and technical teams. Imperative are an adaptive style and the ability to quickly assimilate new information.
The firm is seeking candidates with either GuideWire ClaimsCenter OR extensive experience working within a Property and Casualty insurance domain.
The firm is seeking the ideal candidates to start as soon as possible. This position pays $70.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis or $77.00 per hour on a Corp basis. The corp rate is for independent contractors and not third party firms. The full time positions come with $125,000 salaries plus an outstanding benefits and bonus structure
Perform Business Analysis activities for the Guidewire ClaimsCenter 9 using a variety of techniques including requirements gathering, specification writing including data mapping and data structures for query purposes within the Guidewire ClaimCenter module along with some experience within a data warehouse type environment
Experience with workers comp exposure would be a plus only and not a requirement
Facilitate the rigorous identification and documentation of business requirements by leading business resources through a variety of activities including:
Proactively elicit information through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business analysis and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish business user requests from the underlying business needs.
Translate business needs into business, technical and functional requirements in a complete, correct and clearly understood format to be shared with both business and technical stakeholders.
Coordinate and perform the prioritization, transition and ongoing management of business requirements
Coordinate validation of requirements
The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison across business areas and between business and technical teams.
Working knowledge of Guidewire ClaimsCenter data structures and a comprehensive understanding of business process or functions from both an operational and technical perspective.
Working knowledge of Group products and/or associated procedures.
5 to 7 years of experience in a business analyst role
Data Analysis skills would be a plus only and is not required
Bachelor's Degree or higher
