Truck Driver (CDL Not Required)

Hours: M-F, 8-10 hour shifts, exact days/times vary, WEEKENDS RARE

Starting Wage: $18-24/hour, DOE and licensure

Job Description: Truck driver will use an automated vegetation spraying system to correctly apply herbicide to prescribed areas.  Drivers will spend the majority of working hours in a vehicle but may be occasionally required to exit the vehicle to hand spray around various equipment/machinery.  Drivers will mix and load proper amounts of herbicide to treat noxious weeds.  Drivers will need to be able to correctly identify weeds and submit proper data records.  All vegetation training is provided. 

Truck drivers may be required to travel to Utah, Idaho, or Oregon overnight during some weekdays. Transport will be done in a company vehicle, and drivers will receive a daily per diem. Hotel costs are 100% covered by PMG.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and spraying various vegetation types
• Traveling by vehicle over large distances
• Working independently to achieve satisfactory results of client’s vegetation requirements
• Pass pesticide applicator's license (a state requirement) - we will provide you with all study material, and you will receive a bonus once the test is passed

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be physically able to carry a backpack weed sprayer
• Must be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, etc. as deemed necessary by each job-type
• Plant identification with field experience preferred
• Ability to work as a team and independently
• Class A CDL preferred, not required
