PLCCA, Inc. seeks a full-time Data Analyst to support its violence prevention grant and support the implementation of violence prevention initiatives. The Analyst will collect all data from the Violence Prevention Sub-grantees, and aggregate the data to identify if program goals, objectives and performance measures were met. The Analyst will generate regular weekly and monthly data reports illuminating violence prevention, reduction trends and promote innovation, and help develop data management and analysis systems that support the ongoing implementation and tracking of activities and deliverables.
PLCCA, Inc. supports cities to implement and advance proven strategies that reduce violence and improve public safety, minimize arrest and incarceration, strengthen communities, and improve relationships between law enforcement and communities. PLCCA, Inc. has continually worked within the Proviso Leyden Township with law enforcement partners and community stakeholders to identify the area’s most violently active groups; conduct immediate, targeted outreach to the most at-risk individuals; reduce their involvement in violent crimes; connect them with specialized social services; and made significant progress in improving the area’s public safety.
o Collect data through field research exercises such as interagency problem analyses and shooting reviews with law enforcement and community partners.
o Conduct intensive data analysis to inform the implementation of violence prevention initiatives.
o Develop data management, analysis, and tracking tools for law enforcement and community partners, including group and gang member databases.
o Produce reports analyzing and summarizing ongoing crime dynamics and violently active groups for partner entities, including local law enforcement agencies and federal law enforcement agencies.
o Create and maintain graphs, charts, and other data products and use specialized software (social network analysis platforms, etc.) to illuminate violence prevention and inform ongoing implementation of violence reduction strategies.
o Support staff with additional data management and analysis as needed.
o Ability to make independent decisions in problem solving

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail; and an ability to independently prioritize and simultaneously handle multiple tasks.
o Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, criminology, sociology, management, statistics, law or related field preferred.
o Advance level of experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
o Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
