We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer/Junior Project Manager to help lead a growing Highway team in downtown Chicago.
In this role you will be involved in preparing scopes, proposals, and determining resources needed to complete client projects and objectives. This includes managing project budgets, invoices, and personnel, attending required meetings and authority in the preparation of plans, specifications, estimates of cost and reports for transportation projects. You will help manage multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams. Local travel is required to job sites and various project meetings.
Mentoring junior engineering staff in highway/transportation projects, plans and specifications preparation, client and public interactions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- PE license is required. Registered professional engineer in the State of Illinois and a valid driver’s license.
- Experience preparing Phase I and Phase II engineering plans for the IDOT, Illinois Tollway, CDOT, and County.
- Hands on experience with Microstation
