Maintenance Specialist

The Maintenance Specialist’s is responsible for the maintenance (cleaning and repairing) and preventative maintenance of all Peak facilities, machinery and equipment. This position also assists in building and repairing rental equipment (tables, bars, chairs, etc.) as needed. The Maintenance Specialist reports directly to the Fabrication Manager.


· Builds rental equipment (tables, bars, etc.) under the guidance of the Fabrication Manager

· Performs maintenance on the Company’s machinery and facilities

· Performs preventative maintenance on all Company property

· Follows checklists regarding general maintenance needs and duties

· Ensure proper use and care of equipment and facilities

· Performs special projects, as needed

· Conducts regular walk-throughs of the building to assess maintenance needs

· Contacts vendors when they are needed to perform various services to the building and its equipment

· Monitors and documents all equipment failures and identifies root causes to avoid preventable mistakes

· Ensures that the facilities and all equipment are in compliance with all state, federal and OSHA safety laws and regulations

· Enforces all state, federal and OSHA safety practices and procedures and ensures employees receive appropriate safety training

· Maintains equipment maintenance logs as well as maintenance and repair reports

· Checks all repair work performed in shops for completeness

· Follows up on periodic maintenance on all Company equipment

· Performs periodic inspections of Company machines to reinforce all Peak guidelines

· Coordinates with Management on special projects

· Supports and implements all organizational policies and procedures

· Provides support to all other company team members, as needed

· Performs other duties, as needed


· 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance

· Carpentry background is a positive but not required

· Knowledge of warehouse safety policies

· Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance repairs and replacement

· Strong knowledge of tools and equipment necessary for basic repairs

· Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed; ability to create effective working relationships with employees

· Knowledge of safety practices and techniques in mechanics; knowledge of machine makeup and the parts and supplies required for different types of machinery

· Ability to work independently as well as in groups
