POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Intern’s primary duties include supporting the Human Resources Department by learning Human Resources processes and providing administrative support. A key component for the position will be to have an open and friendly attitude while tackling projects and interacting with employees. This position reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager. This position is located in Woburn, MA, part-time seeking 2-3 days per week. Ideal for college student taking light course work in a relevant major to Human Resources.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with new employee orientations (updating the PowerPoint presentation, presenting the information to new employees, taking badge photos of new employees
  • Create job postings, update job descriptions, conduct screenings with potential candidates, track applicants
  • Ensure that handbooks are distributed to and signed by all employees
  • Assist with implementing the Company’s new Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Drafting offer letters and promotion letters
  • Assist with the on-boarding of new employees
  • Create employee profiles in the Company HRIS
  • Conduct an audit of all employee files, separate all terminated employee files and properly file them
  • Create spreadsheets, reports and rosters
  • Track employee benefits
  • Sort and distribute new employee uniforms
  • Brainstorm ideas for employee morale
  • Conduct employment verification's
  • Answer phones, communicate messages to the Human Resource team
  • Complete special projects assigned by the Senior Human Resources Manager
  • Perform other duties, as needed

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and manage workload imbalance
  • Ability to work independently as well as in groups
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Reliable transportation

COMPENSATION

  • $15.00 per hour
  • Flexible schedule
