The Human Resources Director is responsible for aligning the overall human resources strategy including having unassailable judgement and expertise in management; leadership development; compensation and benefits; performance management; HRIS; employee education and development; talent attraction; staffing and retention; diversity; organizational design; cultural development; employee relations; with that of the business strategy. Create the vision along with the senior leadership team, develop a strong following and effectively support transformational change. Develop innovative approaches to all aspects of HR which will set Peak Event Services apart in the event service marketplace. Work with the executive team to drive profitable growth through employee engagement and development to create brand value. The Human Resources Director will report directly to the CEO. The position is based out of Woburn, MA and requires the ability to travel to the company’s other locations weekly.
ESSENTIAL POSITION OBJECTIVES
Ø Acts as a leader and resource expert on all related organizational development and human resource matters; provide consultation and assistance to department heads, managers, Executive Management and the Board.
Ø Leads the design, development and implementation of new compensation and recognition programs, the performance management process, market pricing practices, salary structures, budget recommendations and market analysis; and other programs to meet with needs of the organization’s compensation strategies.
Ø Negotiates, implements and administers the company’s benefit plans.
Ø Partners with the senior management team to create a performance driven organization. Establish metrics and performance management tools to achieve business goals. Align reward systems.
Ø Leads, inspires, coaches and develops the HR team for continued and higher contributions to the business and to ensure personal growth for team members; implementing training and development of employees and managers.
Ø Enhance the Company’s unique event culture by working closely with all managers to understand and engage the human capital values. Guide the development and implementation of employee-related programs and processes that will both support the business requirements, cultural transformation and reinforce the attractiveness of the organization as an employer of choice.
Ø Oversees the administration of benefits programs including insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, and other employee benefits.
Ø Ensures benefits compliance with provisions of ERISA and annual government (5500) filings, and other regulatory agencies and requirements.
Ø Adds value to the development of the business strategy and its successful achievement. Provide support to the strategic direction of the company. Align the organization’s mission, vision, values and key cultural behaviors to a strategic Human Resource agenda that is flexible enough to shift as the demands of the business change.
Ø Participates as a member of the leadership team with a focus on the company’s human capital and how that critical resource is best maximized. Implement successful recruitment and retention strategies for management, sales, operations and front line full-time and seasonal service talent.
Ø Provides effective direction, guidance, and leadership to the Executive Management to ensure and foster team cohesiveness.
Ø Ensures compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies and Company policies and procedures; develops and maintains policies and procedures necessary for compliance and other regulatory requirements.
Ø The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of having successfully driven HR initiatives in rapidly growing, changing environments and having functioned successfully as a significant and accomplished business partner and inspirational leader in a world-class organization.
Ø Possess a track record of translating strategy into operating results in a fast-paced business environment that is heavily seasonal based.
Ø Broad and deep experience as an HR generalist, with knowledge of HR business processes with an emphasis and expertise in overseeing human capital for a multi-location; multi-state organization. Experience in bringing together different cultures forged through mergers and acquisitions into a single culture and brand.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 10-15 years of experience in Human Resources with 5+ years of HR leadership roles preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience working in companies with extensive seasonal hiring needs is necessary
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication and change management
- Strong computer skills and comfort using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills
- Strong understanding of applicable employment laws as well as new Human Resources trends and tools, including social media tools
- Works well with others, including internal staff and external audiences
- Exceptional listening skills to be able to properly assess the needs of assignments as well as the needs of the company
