PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician in Glendale, AZ
Performs standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyzes results. Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment.
Requires an associate's degree and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under direct supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor.
Performs a variety of duties in the electro-mechanical, mechanical or electronic area. Tests, constructs, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering documentation, drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment,, conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES - PRODUCT TESTING:
Testing product per specifications, data file manipulations to ensure test results are captured and maintained.
Assist Engineering with troubleshooting on product that fails test. Works with Engineering to improve test yields.
Completing appropriate test documentation and certifying to test results. Be key focus and provide expertise on new product introduction.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES – TRAINING:
Obtain cross training in multiple areas to support site needs and goals
Mentoring and coaching of others on testing and products
Training other Technicians in testing and product knowledge.
• CANDIDATES MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN ONLY
• Steel Toes and safety glasses are required
• The minimum level of education required for ISC assignments is High School diploma/GED.
• Suppliers should obtain a copy of the candidates highest level of education (HSD/GED or degree) to avoid delays in on-boarding.
