As Warehouse HR Business Partner, perform a wide variety of tactical HR duties including ensuring adequate recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, performance management, safety, and compliance. Providing day-to-day support of front-line employees and managers, serve as a connector between the HR and Operations Team. Being the main presence of the People and Culture team on the warehouse, listening to employees and managers to drive a positive, collaborative, and effective team.

  • Actively demonstrate PCS values and engage in promoting an enjoyable and collaborative culture.
  • Oversee and supporting with the warehouse support recruitment and coordinator HR team, including the daily workflow of the department, and give them support.
  • Serve as a point of contact on day-to-day HR matters and participating in management meetings with local management.

Recruitment

  • Partner closely with department leaders to understand priorities, needs for each department, and provides consistent and speedy updates on open roles, showing a high sense of urgency.
  • Perform interviews and support warehouse recruiting team to ensure all vacancies are filled in in a timely manner.
  • Prepare offers and new hire documents

Onboarding

  • Ensure all employees and warehouse managers are onboarded following PCS protocol, welcoming them and ensuring they have a sense of belonging. Driving the onboarding process and HSE training programs to all employees. 

Employee relations and talent oversight in the warehouse

  • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees.
  • Actively keeping employees informed of HR policies by answering all policy-based questions.
  • Key point of contact supporting and advising management on documenting performance management processes, training logs and counselling/performance improvement processes and exit interviews.

  • Handle all kinds of conflicts with employees and managers.
  • Partner with leadership as necessary to interpret, escalate and create solutions in complex employee experience, retention, and/or employee relations issues.
  • Ensure that the training process is being completed.
  • Identifying potential talent and leaders and/or supervisors within the warehouse to support their growth and development- Work with central People & Culture team to support their growth.
  • Support management with all requirements supporting employee wellbeing. Parking, vending machine, transportation, others vendor, etc.
  • Overseeing employee recognition program.
  • Assists with any projects or additional tasks assigned.

Data collection:

  • Ensures all data is properly and timely documented in the payroll tool and BambooHR
  • Reviews data and recommends courses of action.  
  • Collect data and statistics on a weekly basis for trends and patterns for recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover for management.

Compliance:          

  • Monitor and ensure location compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Reporting with the support of the team Health and safety incidents and ensuring adequate care of the employees in the warehouse.

Perform all other tasks as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bilingual, English & Spanish
  • Leadership development experience and communication skills
  • Experience managing and overseeing strategic culture deployment and support projects throughout a global organization

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Leadership, or related field required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role preferably with experience in a high growth, warehouse, manufacturing or distribution center environment or field environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Your office will be located inside the Warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
