Job Description

 

Department:                          Front Desk

 

Status:                                    Non-Exempt/Hourly Wage

 

Position reports to:               Administrative Assistant & General Manager

           

Property Description: Panama City Resort & Club is a timeshare property with 2,040 individual owners, governed by a Homeowner’s Association, an elected Board of Directors, and managed by Vacation Resorts International, a management company with over 160 Resorts in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The property was converted from a hotel to condominium units and sold as timeshare. We operate year round and owners may come to use their assigned time, or exchange their week for one at a different resort, or place their week up for rent and receive rental money from guests who use it.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the routine operations of the Front Desk on assigned days and shift. Duties to include, but not limited to: check-ins, check-outs, fulfillment of guest needs, dispatching and follow-up of maintenance and housekeeping work orders, cash handling, nightly audit, bookkeeping, coding and payment of bills, balancing of monthly rental statement, organizing filing system, ordering of office supplies, assisting with guest activities program, and aiding the Administrative Assistant and General Manager in any duties or tasks as assigned.

 

Days, Hours and Pay: In the hospitality industry, regular days and hours may change based upon the needs of the Resort and by the season. No guarantees are made to any employee with respect to work schedule and the amount of hours per week. While schedules are subject to change, without notice, every effort will be made to produce a regular schedule. 24-32 hrs/wk. Resort hours of operation are 8:30 am until 5:00 pm every day with the exception of Friday. Friday office hours are 8:30 - 7pm

 

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and responsibilies:

Guest satisfaction.

Maintain a high level of professionalism and project a positive attitude at all times. Maintain close communication with all departments, tracking progress and ensuring completion of work orders in a timely manner and to the guest’s satisfaction & making follow up calls to guests upon completion of work orders.

q  Possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with employees, guests, and vendors to resolve issues and complete assigned tasks.

q  Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and endure prolonged periods of sitting or standing and possess valid U.S. Driver’s License with the ability to pass property insurance driving and background checks.
