Job Description

P3I, Incorporated is recruiting for a Programmer Analyst to support the Advanced Sensors and Techniques group at MITLL in Lexington, MA. The Advanced Sensors and Techniques Group is seeking a software programmer to help with the creation, testing, and updating of the group's software infrastructure and user interfaces. This software uses web services and data messaging between various databases and processing algorithms. Web UIs provides the interface to the data for analysis and operations. This position will work with other developers to enable a resilient & capable software infrastructure for data processing algorithms used by operators and analysts based at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Candidate should be a front-end developer (WebUI and nodeJS).


Builds and codes applications and/or modules using a variety of programming languages. Provides patches and upgrades to existing systems. Designs web based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interface to meet the specific needs of users. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, technical specifications, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. May build add-on modules using application program language and/or be involved in user testing to provide actionable insights that drive future system design improvements. May have vendor management responsibility. May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards as well as development operations team while automating process of software delivery and infrastructure changes.


Five years’ experience with the following:

  • REACT 1-2 years
  • Experience developing REST web services
  • HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, and AJAX
  • Web Application Development
  • Web-based API Processing

Nice to Have:

  • XML and SQL
  • Middleware, DDS, Publish/Subscribe, IDL


Candidate must be a US citizen and have to ability to obtain and maintain a valid DoD security clearance.

On site requirements:

*Must be Covid 19 vaccinated or be willing to get the Covid 19 vaccine.

Work requires interacting with users in classified spaces and therefore cannot be a fully remote position. Candidates must be able to spend at least 2-3 days on site.
