Senior Accountant Tax

Full Time Tax & Accounting Positions Available:

A fast-growing full-service accounting firm located both in Central Manhattan as well as in Hicksville LI, 45 minutes by public transportation from St. John’s University, Fordham or Hofstra is looking for a bright, hardworking, and experienced Tax and Accounting Senior to join the firm.

Duties will include tax return preparation, using available tools from the well-known Tax programs, filing, summarize financial transactions, review and correct trial balance and general ledger information using quick books, and a variety of project management assignments.

Position requirements are Graduated with a Tax or Accounting degree, 3 years relevant work experience, comfortable working with detailed Tax programs, business financial statements, and detail oriented. A CPA or intentions to sit for the exam is desirable, and most of the experience will be eligible for practical NYS licensing.

After a 30 year career at Citi Group, where during the last 7 years of his career led the 2nd largest Commercial Banking team across the US in Central Manhattan, you will be learning Tax Planning, Investment Banking, Financial Statement preparation, Sophisticated Bookkeeping and complex M&A deals with Paul also being a retired Adjunct Professor at NYU for him to mentor you for your future career growth.

This company is a full-service Accounting, Tax and Advisory firm with clients in both Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens/NYC, but the position is stationed in their LI offices. We have a diverse client base of Tax, bookkeeping, and administrative projects for a wide industry group made up of closely held and Privately held Business and Professional clients, with C- Corporations, S-Corporations, Professional Corporations, Partnership Accounting in industries that are wide ranging and many complex high net worth individuals who own and maintain Investment Real estate.
