VP / Director of Answer Production Operations (Technology Executive Leader)

Ozmo is seeking an executive-level leader to oversee a large team of answer creators and curators. In this executive role, you will oversee the day-to-day management and growth of a hybrid team. Your work will involve forecasting, planning, and leading the operational improvement of the team while balancing mission-critical work for many enterprise customers in a time-sensitive environment. You will work across the entire organization as a member of the executive team and report directly to the CEO.

• Supervise the daily operations of the team, ensuring alignment with stakeholders on our customer-facing teams.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and increase process efficiency.
• Balance production efficiency with the spirit of Agile methodologies and Agile project management strategies to enhance the team's adaptability and ensure timely delivery.
• Facilitate a culture of continual improvement within the team, promoting professional growth and development.
• Advocate transparency and clear communication within the team and with stakeholders, maintaining organized and accessible work documentation.
• Foster an environment of autonomy through accountability, providing clear expectations and trusting team members to deliver their best work.
• Develop effective schedules and prioritization matrices and set audacious-yet-sustainable goals to ensure progress and prevent burnout.
• Mentor and coach a young team, encouraging open, honest conversations and constructive feedback.
• Lead the design and execution of production strategies, aligning with the broader context of Ozmo's objectives and SLA obligations.

• Recent experience in the software industry/tech sector. Ideal candidates will have played a critical role in the operational scaling of tech companies.
• Director-level: A minimum of 10 years of operations management in a technology company with at least five years in a leadership role.
• VP-level: Director-level requirement and prior VP of Operations or COO responsibilities in a growing technology company.
• Candidates typically have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or demonstrated experience working in such a continuous improvement environment.
• Demonstrated experience operating in an Agile environment with mastery of Agile methodologies and Agile Project Management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to foster a team-oriented environment in line with Ozmo's core values.
• Expertise in traditional project management, program management and portfolio management. Ideal candidates will have a PMP certification.
• Proven ability to organize teams for optimal output and conduct change management initiatives when necessary.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
• Knowledge of production design and management, with a particular emphasis on digital content.

Pay Range: $140k +

This position is based in the United States and offers the opportunity to work from home or in the Blacksburg, VA office.
