Orion Institute, a leading technical training college in Perrysburg, OH, is seeking energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with expertise in interpersonal, oral presentation and written communication skills to train motivated students to become professional Medical Assistants. Successful candidates will be trained to instruct using a nationally recognized and proven curriculum. The right candidate may have the ability to advance into program leadership roles.
Applicant requirements are as follows:
3 years of industry related clinical/work experience as a Medical Assistant
Possess a minimum of a diploma/certificate in Medical Assisting or other health related field from a formal Medical Assisting program
Knowledge of anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology
Teaching experience at a post-secondary level preferred but not required
Certification (CMA, RMA, etc.) preferred
Duties and responsibilities
Instruction in college-level courses including:
Medical Business/Computer Practices
Anatomy and Physiology
Principles of Pharmacology
Prepare standardized course syllabus, outline and daily lesson plans
Ensure consistency between the course objectives and the daily lesson plans. Provide and discusses syllabus modifications with students throughout the term.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress of students,
Prepare and administer examinations, student projects, and other teaching aids needed to fulfill objectives of program.
Set up classroom, lab equipment, projects, assignments, etc in preparation for each new phase or class start.
Ensure classroom management and enforcement of school regulations according to the School Catalog
Participate in graduation ceremonies and other school events as required.
Complete administrative duties and other projects as assigned.
