Job Description

Origina - the story so far!

As SaaS and Cloud based software solutions become the only show in town, the original software market, perpetually licensed on-premise software, is undergoing a radical transformational change. This change has opened a whole new sub industry targeting the support and maintenance fees mega-vendor publishers charge for the on-premise software – Third Party Software Maintenance (TPSM). Origina was founded with a vision to disrupt and open a market that plays on confusion, contractual/licensing complexity, and crude attempts at customer lock-in.

Origina won its first customer in 2015, and now is the leading global independent provider of IBM software support and third-party maintenance, pairing affordable pricing with quality support, supporting over 100 of the world’s largest companies – with many being Fortune 500!

The Role

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer/Production Artist who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment to join the Origina Content team. You will design and produce print (10%) and digital content (90%) for Origina, focused on B2B audiences including Chief Information Officers (CIOs), IT leaders, procurement teams, and software asset managers. Ultimately, you’ll ensure delivery of design assets that follow established brand guidelines, appeal to our audiences, attract prospects, and boost brand awareness. The Graphic Designer/Production Artist will report to the Head of Content, working with copywriters, designers, and web developers on the content production team.

  • Collaborate closely with Head of Content, copywriters, and other designers on the content production team, as well as members of the digital and events teams
  • Design and prepare final digital or print files, including brochures, sales sheets, reports, eBooks, guides, presentations, and other content assets, starting from copy and direction provided by content writers/Head of Content through to final asset delivery
  • Prepare images and files for use in digital formats, such as websites, social media, emails, and display ads
  • Create PDFs for review, capturing and implementing edits and design feedback from content, sales, and operations teams
  • Work with editors and proof-readers to ensure final creative assets follow brand guidelines and are free from grammar and spelling errors
  • Troubleshoot design/production problems as they arise
  • Catalog and reference art and design files in SharePoint groups for future use by marketing, sales, and other internal stakeholders
  • Recommend design enhancements, brand updates, and other creative input to content production team

  • 3+ years of experience as a graphic designer, production artist, or similar role, designing content assets for a variety of content vehicles and marketing channels
  • Experience with digital content, including websites, social media, online advertising and email campaigns
  • Experience with print content, including event booths, banners, brochures, and other printed materials
  • Expert user of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong typographic and layout skills
  • Experience with video production and/or motion graphics a plus
  • Detail-oriented in all areas of graphic design and production
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, file organization, and archiving skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Portfolio showcasing print and digital design experience
  • Ability to work in a way that aligns with our values of Trust, Fairness, Relationships, and Opportunity

Don't worry if you don't meet ALL the requirements, if you feel you would be a great fit for this role, we would love to hear from you! At Origina, the most important ingredient for us is our culture fit, and recognizing those that want to live our high-performance values of Fairness, Trust, Relationships, and Opportunities.
