This position provides the OCE business partners with professional frontline client relations, delivery of linen/laundry products to hospitals and clinics, agency mail delivery, and finished wood & metal products from Portland to Eugene and surrounding areas (position is stationed in Salem). OCE is looking for a team player to fill the position of Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires exceptional skill in customer service; ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse populations of people; demonstrated experience of safe work practices, physical ability to safely maneuver objects weighing up to 1,000 pounds with human assistance and/or mechanical aides; the skill and ability to accurately and efficiently sort and process linen and laundry pick-ups and deliveries, and skill and ability to safely load, secure, and deliver laundry, wood and/or metal products to customers. Work is performed to meet customer satisfaction needs on timeliness, quality of delivered product within specified time periods on prescribed routes.

The successful applicants must complete a 12-month probationary (trial service) period as an extension of the selection process. The positions are represented by the Association of Oregon Corrections Employees (AOCE) union.

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED & REQUESTED SKILLS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· CDL A with three year safe driving record

· Two years of product delivery experience

· Ability to obtain passenger endorsement within 6 months of hire

· Pass an initial and annual Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS) criminal background check screening

· Pass pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

· Preference may be given to applicants with:

· Experience in linen delivery

· Passenger and double/triple endorsements (preference will be given to applicants with endorsement)

· Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook

· Law enforcement / security work experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
