Orchid is a cannabis product development, branding, and hardware manufacturing company. Orchid's award-winning premium THC and CBD product lines are sold in almost 300 dispensaries across California and Oregon. Orchid is focused on developing, hardware manufacturing, branding and distributing premium cannabis product. We are currently operating within the States of California and Oregon, with plans to expand to new markets in the United States, as regulations permit. With a continued focus on brand and intellectual property development, Orchid will execute strategic acquisitions to solidify an integrated cannabis manufacturing and distribution infrastructure with the goal of becoming a dominant premium cannabis brand in the United States.

Orchid's management brings significant branding, product development, manufacturing, and distribution experience with a proven track record of scaling revenues, building value generating partnerships, and creating enterprise value. We are in the process of going public on the Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE) and building our team in anticipation of higher standards of financial reporting.

You

You should be a detail-oriented and organized professional staff accountant. You will be a critical part of our team in managing the finances of our business, recording financial transactions and generating relevant reports. You will also collaborate and communicate with employees, vendors, and customers to ensure accuracy of financial transactions.

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general bookkeeping and accounting duties.

  • Manage Accounts Payable.

  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts.

  • Work with CFO and VP Finance to issue financial statements.

  • Process company payroll.

  • Distribute customer invoices and ensure that house account receivables are collected in a timely manner.

  • Manage the office cash transactions with Ops team.

  • Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system.

  • Provide administrative support to management when required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years previous experience in professional accounting office or other related fields

  • Knowledge of 280E and other cannabis-specific tax regulations a major plus

  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise required, current computer accounting programs and reporting tools

  • Experience with inventory costing and margin analysis
