MANAGER OF FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYST

Orbus is a leading visual communication company and is looking for a FP & A Manager for our Corporate Headquarters location in Woodridge, IL.
Under direction of the CFO, the analyst is responsible for supporting management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating critical financial and operational information and reports. The analyst will also be responsible for turning data into actionable insights and making recommendations to improve business performance.
Travel Required: 10% or less

Essential Functions:
- Prepares key financial and operational reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining data with the objective of creating actionable insights and information
- Analyzes and monitors current and past trends in key performance indicators related to revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures
- Completes ad-hoc quantitative analyses of information to identify and understand drivers and root causes of performance
- Recommends operational focus points and works with leadership to evaluate actions to improve business performance; assists with implementing and tracking actions over time
- Automates financial data collection and manipulation into useful dashboards or reports to drive user independence and support organizational scalability
- Prepares and delivers financial and operational presentations to Executive team
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and developing expertise in necessary data management and visualization tools (eg, SSMS, Tableau)
- Plans, implements, executes, and trains others on financial and analytics systems as needed
- Contributes to finance team effort by accomplishing special projects or initiatives, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in Accounting or Finance roles
- Strong leadership skills required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience managing large data sets and visualizing information through tools such as SQL, SSMS, Tableau or Microsoft Power BI is highly desirable
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
