Duration : Contract-3 months (Possible Extension)
Shift:-8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
· The need someone really good with reconciliation of accounts. Must be advanced in Excel and Access. Should be able to do Vlookups, Pivot tables, and light macros. Will be slicing and dicing the information, reconciling the data. REPORTING in Excel and Access is the most important thing.
· Performs complex accounting and reporting functions requiring minimal direction. Utilizes industry specific accounting and reporting principles and techniques, advanced computer skills and a profound understanding of the business units products, work flows and administrative systems.
· Verifies accuracy of journal vouchers, account balances and accounting classifications assigned to various reports. Follow up on accounting/system issues that affect accounts to ensure proper reporting of financial data. Assist and train other accountants in research of issues that require advanced accounting or system knowledge.
· Analyze statistics and make recommendations for improvements to work flow and systems to management. Develop and maintain accounting specifications. Develop and maintain financial reporting and tracking tools. Works with both internal and external sources to ensure proper reporting of financial data, and represents accounting at meetings. Other duties as assigned. .4-year bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 5+ years accounting experience in public accounting or the financial services industry preferred. CPA designation preferred.
