Â Job Title Mechanical Engineer I Engineering Energy Engineering Manager, Engineering None Seattle, WA or other limited geographic regions Regular Full-Time Department Functional Area Reports to Directs Location Job Type Job Time Experience Level 0-3 years industry experience Required Required Education Â Â Â Â BS, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent work experience) Required TravelÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 0-10% Â Job Description: The Mechanical Engineer I (ME) is responsible for assisting Optimum Energy Technical Account Managers (TAMs) and Energy Engineers (EE's) in customer support, delivery of services, and implementation of solutions. The ME will assist customer support by auditing and distributing energy reports, triaging incoming customer cases, and analyzing and troubleshooting customer savings information.Â The ME will also assist EE's in the set up and authoring of Engineering Site Assessment (ESA) deliverables. Job Responsibilities: * Support Technical Account Manager and Energy Engineering teams to ensure customer success. * Approve and distribute customer monthly reports * Generate custom diagnostics reports as assigned * Review reports for reasonableness and accuracy * Coordinate with Engineering, Support, and Development team to troubleshoot/resolve reporting content discrepancies * Drive report issues through resolution and final delivery to ensure reporting service level goals are met * Triage incoming customer support cases * Review support case queue, assign cases to appropriate engineer * Merge or delete unnecessary and repetitive cases * Respond to customer requests if appropriate for knowledge and skill level * Configure OptiCx application for customer deployments including importing graphics, configuring plant diagrams, history setup, creating calculated points, and configuring baseline information * Create Visio documents for ESA reports and update Visio diagrams as needed to be consistent with changes that occur during implementation * Build knowledge of HVAC controls and components Â Â Â Â Requirements: * 0-3 years industry experience (time spent working in HVAC central plants and/or industrial heating and cooling facilities, or HVAC design) * 4-year degree in mechanical engineering * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and Visio * Engineer-in-Training (passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam) * Familiarity with HVAC and chilled water system concepts * Strong understanding of building automation systems and maintenance * Proven ability to manage high priority tasks * Attention to detail with strong technical writing skills * Strong team player with the ability to work collaborative and remotely * Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10%) * Excellent time management skills Â Desired: * Proven customer-facing and presentation skills * Tridium Niagara Certification * Basic knowledge of SQL Â Salary and benefits will be competitive and dependent upon experience and qualifications.
