Position

This is a Real Estate/ Construction Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager opportunity working for the President, Sr. VP and VP’s. This role allows you to contribute to many aspects of the business including land analysis and acquisition, zoning/entitlements, financing, construction management, architecture, property management, and sales and leasing. You should be highly detailed, enthusiastic, and focused on maintaining initiatives and facilitate critical path deliverables and will require a strong working relationship, trust, and communication.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Development
    • Assist site search and analysis.
    • Assist with communication with sellers and brokers.
    • Assist with communication with subcontractors, zoning attorneys, consultants, municipalities and neighborhood outreach coordination.
    • Assist with communication with homeowners’ associations and boards.
    • Assist with meeting preparation and notes for all of the above.
  • Construction
    • Assist with construction bidding.
    • Assist with construction budgets.
    • Assist with onsite supervision and coordination with subcontractors.
    • Assist with office communication and coordination with subcontractors and construction superintendents.
    • Assist with meeting preparation and notes for all of the above.
  • Architecture
    • Assist with architectural coordination.
    • Assist with meeting preparation and notes for all of the above.
  • Sales
    • Assist with market research for condominiums and single-family residences.
    • Assist with communication with the sales and marketing team.
    • Assist with meeting preparation and notes for all of the above.
  • Leasing
    • Assist with market research for luxury rental apartments.
    • Assist with communication with the leasing and marketing team.
    • Assist with meeting preparation and notes for all of the above.

  • Property Management
    • Assist with operating budgets and communication with the property/asset management team.
    • Assist with meeting preparation and notes for all of the above.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; major in real estate, construction, business, finance or economics preferred
  • 2 years of related administrative and analyst experience required; experience in the real estate field highly desired
  • Consistent performer with a strong inter-disciplinary approach to project management who enjoys learning and constantly improving.
  • Extremely organized and articulate with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment, and take ownership in an enthusiastic way
  • Familiar with construction site intensity, lingo, and fast-paced environment
  • Teammate with superior communication and problem-solving skills with an ability to think ahead and critically maneuver throughout any situation, anticipating needs and outcomes
  • Proven ability to interact with different personalities from office personnel to field construction teammates, and remain calm and positive under pressure.
  • Technologically savvy with an interest in current and new technology
  • Flexibility to work overtime required
  • Shows up, takes pride in their work and does whatever it takes to get it done
  • Proficient Excel modeling skills including the application of formulas to develop and modify models for a variety of development projects with the applicable capital structures, project cash flows, and waterfall distributions preferred.
  • Understanding of financial concepts such as NOI returns, cash flow returns, internal rate of return, present value/discounted cash flow, and capital markets preferred.
