Job Description

Location: Remote (with the ability to travel for in-person meetings, implementation projects and/or support as necessary)

The Technical Solutions Manager at Onward is a client-focused role responsibile for bridging the gap between technology and our client's needs. This role is crucial in ensuring that our technical solutions meet the evolving business needs of our clients, reflecting our unwavering commitment to exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned clients.
  • Foster and enhance the technical relationship with clients.
  • Regularly review and enhance service delivery standards.

Technical Solutions:

  • Grasp, articulate, and implement business technology solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Design, deploy, and support various business solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying insights to our service delivery.
  • Automate standards and workflows, train clients on modern business practices

Coordination and Management:

  • Collaborate with internal teams for consistent service delivery.
  • Coordinate and oversee the rollout of new services or solutions.
  • Liaise between clients and third-party tech support teams.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain client documentation and ensure efficient support via our remote management platform.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Comfortable using a 12ft extension ladder and working on elevated structures for infrastructure assessments and servicing, as required.

Skills & Qualifications: Ranked in order of importance, candidates' salaries are determined based on prior experience and the ability to demonstrate proficiency across these skill sets:

Managed IT Services Skills:

  • Professional Services Automation (PSA): Mastery of PSA tools, focusing on ticketing systems and automation platforms.
  • RMM Experience: Proficiency in RMM tools for monitoring, system updates, and remote troubleshooting.

Cloud and Network Management:

  • Cloud Technology: Comprehensive knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, with an understanding of cloud architectures, deployments, and migration strategies.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols, and remote management techniques.
  • Microsoft 365 Platform: Proficient in deploying, administrating, and troubleshooting the suite's complete range of applications and services.
  • Endpoint Management (Intune): Expertise in using Intune for endpoint management, security compliance, and app deployment.

Automation and Process Optimization:

  • ERP Platforms: Familiarity with platforms such as Acumatica, Dynamics, SAP, and Salesforce.
  • SaaS & Automation Platforms: Proficiency in Rewst, Workato, and Power Automate tools.
  • Scripting: Demonstrated capability in scripting for enhanced automation.

Web and Software Development:

  • Web Development: Adeptness in ASP.NET MVC and Blazor for web UI; experience with TypeScript and Angular, preferably combined with .NET Core.
  • Programming: Solid grounding in the .NET Framework, encompassing ASP.NET and .NET Core.

Data Management and Analytics:

  • Data Analytics: Mastery in BI tools, notably Power BI.
  • Database Management: Proficient in SQL, DataFactory, Data Lake.

Work Arrangements:

  • Ability to perform in-person service calls and travel out of state when necessary.
  • A designated home office space, free of visible wall decals, posters, or marks, measuring at least 100 square feet.


  • Competitive salary based on skill level and performance capacity, with an initial evaluation period.
  • Salary Ranges:
    • Tier 3: $120,000-$180,000
    • Tier 2: $65,500 - $115,000
    • Tier 1: $35,000 - $65,000
