Job Description


Plan and create the engineered infrastructure of the network while ensuring the most cost effective resources are in place. The incumbent plans and drives the connectivity and cost of the linehaul network, sets the daily plan for the Regional Linehaul Coordinator and works with the Industrial Engineering team and Systems Engineer to ensure network is optimized to provide on time arrivals to destination facilities.  **This position can be based in either Sun Valley, CA or Chandler, AZ


  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the company safety program.
  • Source and work with vendor groups to onboard and ensure compliance.
  • Negotiates all rates and accessorial charges with vendors.
  • Controls the costs by reconciling all costs in the system to the vendors pricing; ensuring system accuracy and that all lines are accounted for every day with the proper costs and mileage.
  • Work with facilities to ensure they have minimized all costs at the facility level.
  • Reconcile the process to ensure all has been run and all charges are paid timely.
  • Create the scheduling and communicate schedules and operating plans to facilities and vendors to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Partners with Linehaul Engineer to charter new routes.
  • Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

 Organizational Relationship:

Consults and coordinates with engineering department and works closely with fleet department personnel, contract vendors and facility personnel.

Work Environment:

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a warehouse environment. The noise level is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job:

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel.
  • The physical activity associated with this position is considered high. The employee will regularly lift, push, pull and/or move items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • College degree strongly preferred.
  • Seven years of logistics/supply chain, dispatching, transportation, engineering, or business analyst/project management experience.
  • The ability to use basic excel, word and email.
