We are seeking Machine Operators for one of our Clients in Franklin Park, IL for 1st and 2nd Shift Schedules:
Temporary to Hire Positions:
1st shift Production : 03:00AM-03:00PM or 07:00AM -03:00PM Monday thru Friday ( Must be Flexible to work weekends)
2nd Shift Production : 03:00PM -03:00AM or 3:00PM -11:00AM Monday thru Friday ( Must be Flexible to work weekends)
Primary Function: Production of Poly-ISO Insulation to published specifications. Tasks include operation of saws and packaging equipment. Knowledge of processing specifications, operation of production equipment, calculation of output square feet, sheet length, and linear feet. Other skills include the ability to read tape measures. Operation of forklifts.
Duties: Tasks include but are not limited to:
A. Equipment setup, and upkeep of saws and associated equipment.
B. Operate and troubleshoot, Saw control consoles and stacking station.
C. Operate and troubleshoot, crosscut, take critical measurements and maintain the use of mold release.
D. Communicate product attributes to process operator for correction.
E. Verify accuracy of productivity and counts. (Finished goods and scrap)
F. Act as a leader and direct employees in the line to stacking area.
Attend various meetings to provide input on processing problems and changes to process and equipment.
Insure quality and proper facer makings.
J. Housekeeping of Plant inside and out.
K. Assist in training of new team members.
L. Fill in on other areas of the plant as required. Ex. Cool Vent, stackers, etc.
Essential Full Performance Knowledge Required knowledge includes but is not limited to:
Knowledge and Certified in Lock-out, Tag-out Program, Forklift Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products. Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety policies. Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product. Able to pass Saw Operator certification test
Essential Full Performance Skills Required skills include but are not limited to:
Reading - Processing specifications gauges meters, etc. Math - Calculation of output (square feet), product length and width.
Writing - Schedules, operators run log, production and quality paper work. Communication - Train new crew members, complete safety training. Operations of measurement gauges including (tape measures) Problem solving skills Forklift Certified
Physical Requirements Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
Dexterity to operate controls settings. Standing and walking while operating and monitoring machines. Climb ladders.
Operate forklifts. Hearing, listen to equipment for possible mechanical problems.
Ability to visually inspect material being produced. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Climb and bend to perform various duties in the production area.
Check product quality (Thickness, length, width, and overall appearance). Ability to verbally give instructions in a noisy environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Previous Experience is a plus
Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred
Forklift training and experience preferred
Weekend work will be required
