Candidates for this position will be required to sign an authorization for OneAZ to conduct a credit and criminal background check, pursuant to procedures in the Fair Credit Reporting Act and any other applicable laws.

Summary: This position will work in a call center environment dedicated to meeting our members’ loan origination needs. This position will respond to incoming calls, online applications, or applications from our branches from members who are interested in applying for consumer loans, lines of credit, or credit card products or equity mortgage loans. The position will also be responsible for making outbound calls to solicit new loans, particularly during targeted marketing campaigns, as well as, responding through mail or email at the members request.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interviews applicant to determine consumer loan requirement and gather pertinent information for a loan application.
Suggest and accurately explain the appropriate loan products and complete the application over the phone with the member.
Requests applicant credit reports, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation.
Once a credit decision is made, the processor informs the member of the appropriate next steps or conditions needed to close the loan.
Will educate the member of steps that can be taken to ensure credit quality and future approvals, based on lenders decisions.
Ensures that data obtained by the loan applicant/member is consistently entered accurately in the system to ensure data integrity.
Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to established policy.
Assist branches with Kelly Blue book value data.
Promotes and cross-sells other CU products and services as appropriate to member requirements.
Works in partnership with our branches to get the loans closed, support them with training questions and as needed work together to achieve common company goals.
Supports retention efforts of existing loan portfolio by actively making outbound calls to members who have requested payoff’s on existing loans or wish to cancel their loans.
Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs by using the appropriate assigned system codes.
Inputs credit card applications via mail into system and contacts the member once the decision is made. If approved, will complete approval sheet and forward to card services.
Develop an understanding of Credit Union philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures and comply with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, OFAC and all other applicable State and Federal Financial Institution Regulations.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum two years consumer loan related experience. Sales background in lending a plus but not required.
