Job Description

The ideal candidate must be able to transact on a high volume of incoming phone inquiries and online requests, and make regular outgoing calls to qualified leads. The emphasis is on inside sales, requiring a good phone personality, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Handle regular incoming phone requests for watercraft insurance
  • Assess eligibility of potential clients by phone based on underwriting guidelines
  • Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history
  • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverages, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information
  • Communicate details of coverage and respond to inquiries
  • Conduct regular follow up calls and emails with customers to communicate and clarify details of coverage and respond to inquiries
  • Make prospecting calls to new and renewing Sea Tow members
  • Work with service person, manager, and underwriters to rate and release quotes in a timely fashion
  • Review applications for accuracy
  • Maintain complete underwriting file for each client requesting documents as needed
  • Stay informed of all claims or service issues and become involved in resolution when required
  • Represent Agency at regional boat shows
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by agency management


  • Proven ability to pursue and close sales. Prior boating knowledge and experience
