*This position entails frequent travel between sites and entails being present in One Health clinics more than 50% of the time. ...The Regional Electronic Health Record (EHR) Specialist provides leadership and expertise in the application and optimization of One Health's EHR system, currently Athena.This position is responsible for developing, administering, monitoring, improving, and providing end user training and support for the EHR.In addition, the Regional EHR Specialist will provide best practice IT approach solutions and consultative support services assisting clinical and administrative staff across all One Health clinic sites in learning and using our EHR according to uniform processes and procedures.The Regional EHR Specialist works collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across departments to enhance proficiency of the EHR processes.About One Health:With multiple clinic sites across Montana, One Health (formerly Bighorn Valley Health Center) provides medical and behavioral health services to rural populations through a community-based, integrated approach to health care.We offer a competitive compensation package that includes paid time off, seven paid holidays, discounted health care for employees and their family members, 403(b) retirement plan, as well as paid medical insurance for all employees working at least 20 hours/week.One Health provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Works with stakeholders (including Intake, Clinical Support, Revenue Cycle, and Providers) in the organization to develop, administer and improve EHR training curriculum for new staff as well as technical competencies for existing staff throughout an employee's life cycle.Responsible for problem solving, assessing processes and issues, and collaborating with staff to develop solutions to EHR issues.Troubleshoots and follows up on user errors and issues throughout the day and across all sites via remote technology and a support desk ticketing system in a timely fashion, making these issues the basis of on-demand, just in time training for staff or escalating errors to EHR customer support and acting as the primary point of contact between EHR and staff.Configures, administers, and provides EHR training to enhance and support One Health's mission.Develops and administers proactive outreach and training with staff on outstanding needs and new EHR features.Conducts workflow analysis, offers implementation roadmaps, and defines optimization strategies in conjunction with supervisors and Optimal Performance Team in a cycle of continuous process improvement.Displays an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and consultative service skills in each direct end user encounter.Communicates regularly with supervisors regarding staff competency and needs, using regular report outs in athena Governance/Data Governance (AG/DG) to share information with multiple stakeholder groups at once, when appropriate.Demonstrates expertise in the complete patient visit cycle from the perspective of our EHR, including scheduling, intake, clinical encounter, quality, chart closure, billing, the patient portal, as well as patient charts in general.Assists with activities associated with system updates, upgrades, and conversions.Troubleshoots issues that arise during implementation, or "Go Live", events and recommends specific solutions such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, or redesign of proc
