On Time Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Medical Informaticist to lead complex projects of analyzing, managing and communicating health information through clinical information systems and applications.

Senior Medical Informaticist Responsibilities:

• Apply clinical expertise and knowledge of clinical workflow, computer and information science to the design, configuration, implementation, and testing of clinical information systems

• Provide on-site user support to all levels of direct patient care providers for the proper, effective and efficient use of clinical applications and devices

• Participate in the development of organizational policies and initiatives related to collecting, managing, and communicating clinical information

• Develop documents outlining the clinical informatics processes and procedures

• Map data to standard terminologies, vocabularies, and classifications such as SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC, and RxNorm

Senior Medical Informaticist Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Bioinformatics, or Medical/Healthcare Informatics

• Expert in codesets used in medical coding and billing schemes, such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and NDC

• Knowledge of claims billing formats (HCFA 1500 and UB-92) and EDI transaction sets (X12 EDI 835, 837)

• Knowledge of healthcare IT data standards like HL7v2.x, HL7 v3 CDA, and HL7 FHIR

• Experience in data analysis of at least one Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (i.e. Epic, MOSAIQ, Varian, Cerner)

• Working knowledge of databases and SQL queries is a plus
