On Time Talent Solutions is seeking Privacy Administration Specialists who will assist with risk assessments and audits to determine compliance with governmental regulations. Other tasks include responding to routine and low risk incidents, complaints, and amendments, promoting the Health System's mission, values, and Standards of Conduct.

Privacy Administration Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain tracking systems for various types of documentation related to compliance with relevant privacy and electronic standards promulgated under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

  • Work with Information Systems on research projects aimed to improve and support privacy and security functionality

  • Conduct audits of clinical records in response to patient request or at the direction of the Privacy Manager

  • Maintain integrity of privacy breach files with all supporting documentation and systems

  • Respond to requests for guidance on compliance requirements including conflict-of-interest reporting, analysis, and management and document retention and destruction policies

Privacy Administration Specialist Qualifications:

  • Accreditation by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA); Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA); Registered Health Information Technician or Administrator (RHIT/RHIA); or equivalent, preferred

  • Two years working in a health care environment

  • Analytical skills to plan, design, and enhance enterprise-wide systems for tracking compliance activities

  • Current knowledge of applicable federal and state privacy laws and regulations

  • Knowledge of Epic is preferred
