On Time Talent Solutions is currently seeking a candidate interested in expanding their career as a Molecular Scientist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validation of testing, running clinical samples, and running research samples. This position requires excellent technical, organizational and time management skills, plus the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively.


Molecular Scientist Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic molecular genetic techniques and next-generation sequencing 

  • Analysis and interpretation of sequencing data

  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and results

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and preparation of reagents

  • Supervise the work of research associate scientist(s) executing work plans designed by the candidate. 

  • Summarize/report data and generate presentation materials. Expected to present data in lab, group meetings, external meetings, and provide materials/slides for other scientists at project or company level

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support project specific needs

  • Daily maintenance of laboratory, including the receipt and unpacking of reagents, cleaning of work surfaces, and routine ordering will be required

  • Other duties as assigned.

Molecular Scientist Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience in immunology, oncology or related field

  • Extensive knowledge of molecular genetic testing including DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, microdissection, and other techniques

  • Knowledge of next-generation sequencing, including extraction, library preparation, sequencing, and some data interpretation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills applied to investigations

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize protocols

  • Ability to manage competing priorities or projects and meet deadlines

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, work under supervision and exercise good judgement

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-growth and team-based work environment
