Gene Editing Manager Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership to develop CRISPR based cell editing workflows on microfluidic platform
Lead product development of an automated gene editing platform, from conceptualization to commercialization
Closely interact and collaborate with interdisciplinary technology groups from Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing teams.
The successful candidate must be prepared to engage in wet-lab driven research works and have strong analytical skills and strong oral/written communication skills.
Design, test and optimize cell genetic engineering experiments on microfluidic systems and perform in-depth data analysis.
Maintain expertise on latest technologies and best practices used in the gene editing fields. Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams and next-generation sequencing team for full system development.
Gene Editing Manager Qualifications:
PhD in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, synthetic biology, systems biology, or a related field
5+ years of combined industry and post-doctoral work experience with CRISPR-Cas gene editing systems in model cell lines, in vivo animal/plant models, etc.
Experience on mammalian systems preferred.
Extensive experience in cell manipulation is required.
Direct experience with CRISPR delivery techniques for cell lines is required.
Desire to work in a fast paced research environment and collaborate closely with other cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
Ability to work independently and able to balance multiple tasks or projects.
2+ years managing experience is a plus.
