Inside Sales, Bridgewater, NJ

Position Overview The Assistant Director, Inside Sales is responsible for managing all Service Accounts of the region. Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. Understanding customer needs and requirements. Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure. The successful candidate will have experience in sales, an understanding of the dietary supplement industry or related science would be a plus.

Sales Management Responsibility

  • Follow through on Leads and convert them into opportunities
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Ensure generation of sales through regular customer contacts and various marketing & promotional measures
  • Ensure prompt responsiveness on sales enquires so as to maximize sales conversions
  • Coordinate with other functions via the regional sales manager customer queries (if any)
  • Deepen relationships with existing accounts to ensure market penetration
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Upselling products and services
  • Researching and qualifying new leads.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets

Team Management Responsibility

  • Guide the team member on customer service related activities
  • Enable appropriate product and sales training for the team member to ensure he / she is appropriately equipped to lead the assigned accounts
  • Provide continuous feedback for development of the team member

Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Added qualification in science will be preferred
  • 8+ years of applicable experience
  • Customer Focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Understanding of the nutritional supplement industry
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

 

Physical & Environmental Job Demands:

• Overall, this position is sedentary

• This job may require repetitive typing/mouse usage

• Occasional travel may be required
