Director of Information Technology

This position is responsible for securing and managing the agency’s information technology systems, establishing information technology priorities, identifying and implementing technology solutions, evaluating hardware and software needs, and developing budget programs for the effective staffing and equipment necessary to carry out the agency’s mission. This includes the direction, development, and evaluation of staff, oversight of the development of new and enhanced technology systems, integration with document imaging, digital workflows, financial accounting systems, and other technology. Three years supervisory experience with information technology positions including mentoring, coaching, performance management, and correcting performance deficiencies; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least six years of increasingly responsible and relevant work experience in a technology environment; strong management, communications, analytical, and technology skills; experience in project management, change management, business analysis, requirements gathering, and strategic planning, and budgeting and budget management; and experience developing business cases, requests for information, statements of work, and requests for proposals. Salary up to $106K.

OPERS offers a generous benefits package including 11 paid holidays per year; as much as three weeks each of paid vacation and sick leave to start; health, dental, and life insurance benefits including a monthly benefit allowance (in addition to wages) of up to $1,677 for a spouse and 2 or more children; a 401k-type retirement plan with an employer match of up to 7% of compensation; flexible scheduling including 9/80 schedules, 40-hour flexible work schedules, and remote work options of up to two-days per week.
