Job Description

 Supply Manager - Nursing

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is looking for a diligent Supply Manager to join our team and provide professional wound care in a patient-centered medical home setting. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, highly motivated, flexible team player, and readily adapting to a quick-paced environment.

Some essential duties to include:

  • Effective communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Planning and execution within the OKCIC supply chain

  • Assist the DON in vetting and requiring various smart supply solutions to be implemented within OKCIC

  • Familiarity with the professional and technical side of healthcare needs 

  • Coordinating with various departments on supplies that are managed and provided in a timely, effective, efficient, and equitable manner

  • Active participation in the Infection Control Committee to complete burn rates on all Pandemic related PPE

  • Excellent time and priority management

  • Collaborate care with Indian Health Services as well as outside facilities to ensure OKCIC’s supply attainment

  • Record supply management data/information accurately, complete all necessary forms and produce monthly reports submitted to DON

  • Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules, and regulations

  • Provides Lean principals to supply management 

  • Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers;

  • Identifies potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships

  • Negotiating contracts and monitoring their progress 

  • Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors

  • Processing invoices and purchase requests

  • Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities to meet OKCIC’s needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels 

  • Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules, and quality

  • Give presentations about market analysis and possible growth

  • Producing reports and statistics using computer software

Job Requirements:

  • Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position.

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of Medical supply management or Medical Assistant ( If MA, must possess a current Oklahoma Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy Certification (CMA) and is in good standing with the OK State American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

  • Strong knowledge and application with Microsoft Office & Excel, and Google Docs & Sheets

  • Strong computer and technology skills and applications 

  • A strong display of financial acumen

Experience Preferred:  

  • Lean principles and application 

  • Recent experience in distribution or shipping/receiving

  • Knowledge of Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
