Dental Patient Relations Representative

We are looking for YOU to join our award winning team. OKCIC is looking for a Patient Relations Representative in our Registration Department. Ideal candidate would thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy working face to face with our patient population.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Excellent Customer Service; acknowledge, smith and greets patients upon arrival/dismissal
  • Answers telephones
  • Maintains Dental Appointment Book
  • Confirms Dental Appointments
  • Follows up on no shows/cancellation of Appointments
  • Dental Referral Tracking/Management
  • Obtains registration information
  • Determines eligibility status for new patients by obtaining the Certification Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) or other documentary proof of tribal membership
  • Assists patients in completing new and updated forms for the RPMS Patient Registration System
  • Obtains signatures as needed
  • Obtains eligibility via eligibility verification system over the internet using the patient’s Medicaid and/or Social Security information
  • Updated Medicaid status
  • Copies third party recipient health care and explains billing and payment processes to patient and family members
  • Determines eligibility for Medicaid programs (SoonerCare, SoonerPlan, etc.) and assists with application process
  • Submits SoonerCare applications online in a timely manner and conducts ongoing follow-up.
  • Screens for Marketplace eligibility

Job Requirements:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • One year previous Dental office experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record preferred
  • Medical/Dental insurance background preferred
