The restoration specialist is an integral part of Odyssey’s business model, not only because sales are needed for revenue, but also because the sales rep sets the tone for the business relationship throughout the project. In the customers' eyes, you are the company. So, being on time, having excellent communication skills, being polite, knowledgeable, and being “the expert” of the trades will be a key component to gaining the homeowners' trust and business. The following are key expectations for every restoration specialist
- Generate leads and close deals
- Assist the marketing department with local level marketing
- Generating original content to use in advertising campaigns in your sales region
- Generate new leads via social, mail, email, and canvassing (door-knocking)
- Inspect properties for storm related damages, documenting along the way
- While inspecting, to look for other trades or services the customer may need (upselling)
- Guide the customer through the insurance claims process
- Use software systems to manage your jobs and to track your progress
- Keep with up with industry trends and materials
- Maintaining communication with each client from start to finish
- Canvass and prospect for new areas and markets to generate business
Exceptional sales reps may be promoted to a "Team Leader/Trainer” and or Manager in the future, where you can enjoy numerous company benefits and commission overrides from your sales team.
Our service area encompasses a 50-mile radius around Raleigh. Given the number of homes and storm damage in this area, you should have no problem staying busy all year.
·You must use your own, dependable, transportation to and from the office.
· You must not be afraid of heights as you will be conducting inspections on roofs
·You must be a highly effective communicator
·You will need to be comfortable with knocking on doors and talking with new people on a daily basis
·You must be organized
·You must have a smartphone that you can use to take photos and send emails (iPad will be provided)
In house training lasts for 2 weeks and runs from Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. In the first week, we will go over the sales process, insurance claims, fundamentals of construction, and the psychology of selling. There will be tests each day to track your progress.
In the second week, there will be a hybrid schedule. The mornings will be focused on training and reviewing the previous weeks content. The second half of each day we will be in the field actively selling. During this week, and as needed afterward, you will have a dedicated field trainer to help get your new career started in the storm restoration industry! There will be further field and office training as needed.
Compensation and benefits:
Restoration specialists will have the option to choose between a salary + commission pay structure or commission only pay. Employees are also offered a variety of benefits which include

Pay: $45,760.00 - $142,821.00 per year
