To succeed in this role, you must understand the emotional and developmental delays of the people you work with. You will be trained to use proper approaches while helping our clients with their daily needs.
As a Behavior Treatment Therapist, you will:
+ Provide individual treatment for children and adolescents in their home or in a community environment.
+ Implement programs and behavioral strategies driven by the Clinical Supervisor to help each child progress and develop the skills needed to flourish in their home environment
+ Collaborate with GCS treatment team members to create a positive therapeutic environment for those we serve.
+ Prepare and maintain written case notes that document progression and skill development.
+ Bring a commitment to achievement, a passion for care, and a deep respect for those we serve to all of your actions at GCS.
+ Bachelor's Degree in a health service field preferred (i.e. psychology, sociology, counseling, etc)
+ 2000 hours of experience with children and/or adults with special needs
+ Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, valid car insurance, and reliable transportation
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
