Purpose

The purpose of the Account Executive is to educate and empower business owners, executives and HR managers to grow their organizations, employees, clients, and ultimately our community. This is accomplished through a consultative approach by aligning theirs needs and focusing on solutions that matter most and are top of mind: cost containment, streamlining processes and ensuring continuity, mitigating risk through compliance, and allowing companies to focus on their core competencies. This role will be directly responsible for meeting and exceeding annual sales quotas, and activity/conversion targets.

Location: Boulder, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, and Denver Area

Responsibilities

  • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
  • Learns the business and Obsidian HR's value proposition to demonstrate how we can help small and mid-sized businesses
  • Manages and maintains a healthy pipeline and ensures it is updated at all times
  • Logs and maintains all information necessary in CRM and other reporting mechanisms
  • Collaborates with supporting departments such as Sales Ops, Pricing, Implementation, and Client Services to close business and ensure a great client experience
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Forecast accurate bookings
  • Book meetings, run in person and virtual demonstrations, and follow up to close new business
  • Grow the Denver business base through lead generation, referrals, establishing/maintaining relationships with business owners
  • You will drive revenue by selling to new businesses in Colorado
  • Strategize to meet and exceed quarterly bookings goals

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Reliable mode of transportation for travel to prospects and clients

Preferred Requirements

  • Industry experience in Human Resources, payroll, or employer insurances preferred
  • Knowledge of health care benefits, workers' compensation and/or Supplemental Benefit Services preferred

In addition to a base salary of $50-75k, a commission will be earned based on the uncapped commission plan. This commission averages $50-75k for an OTE (on target earnings) of $100-150k.
