The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate are a Catholic order of priests and brothers who serve the poor and needy people in the United States and more than 60 countries around the world while bringing the Good News of the Gospel.
Their non-profit fundraising office of the US Province of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate is seeking a Director of Marketing/Fundraising to join their leadership team and share in the passion to support those who are most in need. The Director of Marketing/Fundraising will plan, implement and supervise all mass communications and marketing initiatives including, but not limited to: strategy, management, oversight and tracking multi-channel fundraising marketing activities including direct mail, telemarketing, media relations, social media, websites, advertising and marketing projects to fulfill our mission of fundraising for the ministries of the US Province.
Must have experience with combining two organizations marketing plans into one, cohesive unit with the ability to be collaborative, but decisive and visionary to lead this initiative in an emotional intelligent way. Must have experience with both working with an inhouse creative/design team and outside vendors.
Essential job tasks include developing marketing plans and devising out-of-the-box strategies for reaching individuals who will want partner and invest in our mission of serving those in need. Must be able to develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms and use research to develop, implement and measure the marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is decisive, proactive, innovative and passionate about helping others.
This individual will oversee and direct the operations of a department that consist of graphic designers, copywriter, photographer, and other marketing administrative support roles. Our offices are in Belleville, Illinois and San Antonio, TX. Some travel will be required with this position.
EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other equivalent field, required. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience in senior-level management in marketing experience (direct mail, telemarketing, internet, social media, etc.) or equivalent direct marketing operations, required. Knowledge and understanding of non-profit religious fundraising operations, preferred. Ability to communicate (verbal, written) in English in a clear, productive and professional manner, required. Ability to create and to implement multiple strategies, and to coordinate common fundraising efforts and approaches, required. Ability to function as a team player and collaborate to achieve maximum results. Knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church, faith and mission philosophy, required. Strategic planning, innovative thinking, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiating, decision- making and interpersonal relations, required.
