Senior Consultant - Aviation Interagency

Summary: As a member of the Objective Area Solutions (OAS) Team, the senior consultant will engage civilian and military leaders to support ongoing development, implementation, and sustainment of an interagency engagement framework for highly technical operational units in the aviation industry.

A successful candidate for this role would have a minimum of 20 years of progressive professional experience and a minimum of five years supporting Government clients, including both civilian and military aviation organizations. Candidates for this role are expected to continue to grow professionally to take on increasingly complex tasks and roles with the client and within the company.

This is a hybrid position located in the Washington, DC Metro Area.

Position Functions & Skills:

Supporting the US Government under the direction of company leadership, the senior consultant will be responsible for the following specific functions:

  • Support coordinated stakeholder engagements with interagency partners for technical programs.
  • Facilitate ongoing interagency engagement via meetings and workgroups, to include workgroup design, interagency stakeholder management, intra and interagency content review and development, and event coordination.
  • Support the development of concept papers, briefings, and articles for communicating client messaging to interagency stakeholders.
  • Coordinate for and participate in visits to interagency sites.
  • Support aviation program offices and develop activities integrating multiple stakeholders to support program success.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate strategic planning sessions and stakeholder engagements.
  • Prepare and provide documentation to technical and non-technical personnel across lines of business.
  • Provide support to client staff for ad-hoc program management questions and inquiries.
  • Provide technical aviation program consulting and program management support.
  • As needed, provide change management, communication, and process improvement support

Required Education, Skills & Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, aviation, management, organization development/ behavior, or related discipline
  • Operational aviation experience
  • 20+ years of professional experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in public sector organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience managing public sector clients
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage best practices and innovative solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with MS SharePoint

Preferred Education, Skills & Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience with business process design
  • Experience in supporting civilian and/or military aviation organizations
  • Project Management Professional (PMI PMP) Certification
  • Active US Government security clearance
