Job Description:

Oakman Aerospace, Inc. (OAI) seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to manage and execute processes for software quality assurance and test. The applicant will be expected to work with the development team, define quality metrics, and develop test plans based on software requirements. Candidate will manage schedule, execution, and risks related to software quality assurance. This position requires all work to be performed on site (no telecommuting) and U.S. Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

·         Self-motivated; performs tasks with minimal oversight

·         Experience in a multi-discipline environment

·         Sound leadership skills to lead a small and dedicated QA team

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to professionally communicate and coordinate with a wide range of   external program sponsors as well as internal management

·         Sound time management skills, attention to detail, and priority management to meet deadlines

·         Must be results-oriented, with the ability to change priorities as needed

Required Skills & Knowledge:

·         Experience with QA methodologies, procedures, and best practices

·         Experience designing, documenting, and executing requirements based tests and generating reports based on the results

·         Experience working with and managing defect tracking, configuration management, test case management, and automated test tools

·         Ability to mentor and lead junior level engineers

·         Experience with Continuous Integration and Test using GitLab or a similar tool

·         Experience testing against both Windows and Linux operating systems

·         Experience working with Virtual Machines

·         Familiarity with GoogleTest or a similar C++ unit test framework

·         Familiarity with Code Coverage tools

·         Familiarity with Selenium or similar testing tools

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Desired Skills:

·         Familiarity with Linux-based open source development programs

·         Experience working with Docker or similar containerization tools

·         Experience with Coverity or other static analysis tools

·         Knowledge of aerospace engineering principles

·         Experience with flight software testing

·         Experience working with or managing DevOps tools and processes
