Job Description

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

  • Implement new food safety regulations

  • Administer Gluten Free, Organic, Non-GMO programs

  • Primary point of contact for SQF, Gluten Free, Organic, Non-GMO, and Auditing

  • Maintain records and documents for audits

  • Alert Production Manager of any specification verification checks that are out of order.

  • Keep CCP documents up to date

  • Provide assistance in solving customer complaints

  • Assume duties of SQF practitioner as stated in SQF code

  • Maintain HACCP program

  • Monitor Environment and Sanitation

  • Ensure all employees are trained properly

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in food safety and quality testing methods

  • Certifications: SQF Practitioner, HAACP, FSPCA

  • Participate in gluten proficiency testing

  • Create GMP’s and Food safety requirements

  • Ability to adhere to written regulations and customer requirements

  • Stay up to date on regulatory changes

  • Ability to complete required paperwork accurately

  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs

  • Able to wear required Uniforms & PPE

  • Able to climb, bend reach and perform repetitive motions

  • Able to work in cold and hot temperatures

  • Maintain a consistent work pace

Performance Standards:

  • Pass audits and inspections

  • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Maintain a consistent work pace

  • Maintain safe equipment

  • Observe facility policies and procedures

  • Ensure dependability and punctuality by arriving at work as scheduled

  • Accurately complete daily and intermittent paperwork

Authority: Stop production for personal or food safety and quality reasons.

Enforce all company policies & procedures. Notify the General Manager of any food safety or quality issues.

The QA Manager is supported by the Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator.
