The Opportunity

Oakbridge is seeking a proven and experienced HR Specialist-Recruiter to support the Company's aggressive growth plan. This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and will interact with the senior executive team on a regular basis. The HR Specialist-Recruiter will be recruiting for a variety of roles and will play a strategic and tactical role supporting our hiring managers across the organization. The ideal candidate will be very well-versed in sourcing for talent through our various job boards and talent networks. This position will also assist the HR Team with special projects and yearly initiatives such as performance reviews.

Oakbridge's HR team is based in North Carolina so we're looking for a candidate either in NC or in one of the other states where we do business: Georgia, Tennessee, or Alabama. You'll experience a high level of autonomy with no micro-management. If you have the skills we're looking for, this could be your dream job!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process
  • Formulate and execute strategic sourcing methods to build a pipeline of candidates using tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, social media channels, local networks, employee networks, and other creative sources
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Oakbridge
  • Manage a consistent load of requisitions with time-to-fill deadlines
  • Collaborate with managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Post open jobs and review applicants
  • Screen and select qualified candidates; perform initial HR interview by phone or video (Teams); assess the candidates fit
  • Schedule interviews with hiring managers, oversee preparation of interview questions and other selection processes
  • Assist with the interview process, attend and conduct interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other HR staff during the offer process, identify and recommend salary ranges, incentives, start date, and other pertinent details
  • Tracks status of candidates in the ATS and respond with follow-up communications at the end of the recruiting process
  • Work with 3rd party recruiters when needed
  • Perform customer service by answering employee questions and requests
  • Assists with preparation of the performance review process
  • Assists HR team with projects and day-to-day responsibilities
  • Performs other HR-related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience
  • Familiar with pertinent employment laws and related compliance issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to pivot quickly and adapt to changing situations; ability to prioritize and have a sense of urgency
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • If working from home, must have reliable and fast internet and the self-motivation to work effectively from a home office environment


  • Experience working in a staffing agency environment sourcing for candidates
  • Strategic sourcing skills with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other job search databases
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience
