Role Description:

The Technology Finance Manager works to strategically manage all aspects of technology financials, drives growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and proactively manages risk. This role will provide information, analysis and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, this role will ensure we are accurately managing resources and provide transparency on performance.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior technology managers in building financial plans with associated budget/forecast/variance analysis and assist in understanding the inputs and conclusions that can be drawn from the analysis of performance vs. plan and financial forecasting.

  • Ensure processes are in place to provide the proper level of transparency on expenses with a focus on key drivers.

  • Support large scale productivity agendas. Identify areas of cost savings opportunity across the organization.

  • Partner with Senior Management to provide insight and transparency around the technology expense base, delivery schedule, and efficiency and resource agendas.

  • Provide Senior Manager proper management reporting, communication and client reporting, focusing on the overall business unit performance against objectives.

  • Proactively highlight issues and risks to the objectives, derive solutions and drive remedies to completion.

  • Provide support for the annual planning and monthly forecasting processes.

  • Build strong relationships with Finance and People Experience (HR) to manage headcount and financial processes supporting the following:

    • Monthly forecasting

    • Annual Planning

    • Monthly Financial Reporting Process - includes Executive Management Reporting

  • Preparation, consolidation, review and detailed analysis of a number of key financial activities including, but not limited to:

    • Monthly Headcount management and Expense Forecast

    • Annual Budget

    • Monthly Technology function related variance commentary

    • Labor Metrics

    • Scenario Analysis

    • Management Reporting

    • Weekly Approval Requests

    • Incoming / Outgoing Allocations

    • Risk & Opportunity Tracking

    • Allocations

    • Capitalization tracking / reporting

    • Hierarchy Maintenance

    • Monthly Accruals

    • Location Strategy

    • Workforce reporting

    • All other adhoc as requested

  • Partner with Leads to drive consistent business management practices, development of KPIs, setting logical key performance measures and reporting driving towards continuous improvement in accuracy and control.

  • Support resource planning working with Leads and Execution of the above processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables / calendars.

  • Lead additional one-off and repeatable analyses as required by senior management.

  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the lines of business and corporate functional areas.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with an emphasis on business / data analysis

  • Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis and presentation of Financials

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management / Finance / Economics / Analytics

  • Previous experience in a finance / planning role in healthcare, technology or financial services strongly preferred

  • High financial acumen with a sound understanding of the P&L

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels and influence key stakeholders

  • Self-motivated, innovative thinker with the ability to derive, formulate, and develop new concepts, processes, value added activities and initiate improvements where necessary

  • Process-oriented with strong organization, problem solving, time management, and analytical skills

  • Exposure to IT development/software development life cycle a plus

  • Must be able to design business reporting and analysis that is clear, concise, and actionable

  • Ability to work effectively with other business functions and technology partners

  • Demonstrated history of independently and proactively driving initiatives forward

  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables

  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills

  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure

  • Outstanding PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, etc)

  • US Work Authorization
