Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Supervisor of our Asset Management team ensures employees are performing at the highest level while upholding best practices. Works with other departments to increase recoveries on accounts by implementing strategies to obtain the most funds possible for our clients. Creates reports and procedures, tracks team progress as well as fixes problems and issues that arise.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS

The following are the essential job duties and responsibilities for this position:

  • Create reports on team performance to find trends and/or weak spots that need improvement.
  • Resolve problems that come up within as well as outside of the teams.
  • Create and implement new processes and procedures to resolve potential problems as well as increase efficiency. Continuously analyzes to optimize performance
  • Work with sub servicers to ensure they are managing their work flows and are getting projected returns.
  • Work with the Managing Director on department deliverables to ensure goals and projects are met.
  • Responsible for leading the team, including hiring, training, backup coordination, timecard approval and performance management.
  • Communicate program needs to IT/Developers and test programs prior to production.
  • Work with other departments to increase process efficiencies and develop reports/work queues.
  • Keep team focused on goals and doing the best work possible for our clients.
  • Pull and analyze inventory reports to ensure clients cases are moving forward.
  • Coordinate with internal and external vendors to achieve production goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

· At least 6 years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment, with demonstrated ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, exercise discretion, and apply sound judgment

· At least 3 years asset management experience in a high pressure, working purchase and sale of REO

· At least 2 years of Supervisory experience with proven ability to lead teams - keeping them motivated and on track

· Experience building a legal team is strongly preferred - ideally in a fast-paced technology driven environment

· Experience in researching property, due diligence, and post-sale client reporting

· Working knowledge of the Federal Court and Federal Bankruptcy Court rules

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Manage and develop large teams consisting of entry-level employees, leads, supervisors and managers
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must work well with third parties (vendors, local counsel, sub servicers)
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and problems that arise
  • Create and implement new procedures; monitor to ensure they are being upheld
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice and quality service delivery
  • Always looking and finding ways to increase efficiency and performance
  • Ability to pull reports and analyze results

 

Education / Training:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate to Strong Excel Knowledge
  • Management skills (both people and processes)
  • Strong understanding of systems/mapping/technology and reporting

  • Normal office environment with moderate noise level, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., regular walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing and reaching.
  • Ability to perform consistent work on a PC.
  • Ability to sit, use keyboard and/or telephone 8+ hours / day, 5 days / week.
