Electronic Technician, Maintenance 

Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO


OTTS is seeking qualified Electronics Technician, Maintenance applicants. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.

Summary/Scope of Work 

The Electronics Technician, Maintenance applies basic and /or advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents of systems to which assigned to include artillery and chemical training, training aids, devices, simulations, and simulator (TADSS) devices. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. 

Job Functions / Responsibilities 

  • Operational knowledge of CFFTIII, HIMARS, AT3, Avenger I-COFT, ATGM BST, C-RAM, NBCRV, MLRSRT3, FireFinder OMT and STPT simulation training devices.
  • Conducts quality control inspections and inspect maintenance work performed. 
  • Maintains required documentation of maintenance activities. Monitor and track the repair status of inoperative equipment and document maintenance activities. 
  • Works with Engineering on non-standard situations. 
  • Recommends changes based on knowledge and past experience. 
  • Interrupts and works with computer systems utilizing various and multiple operating systems. 
  • Diagnose malfunctions of computers and associated equipment and performs operability/readiness tests and repair. 
  • Perform systems interface/fault isolation. 
  • Apply fundamental troubleshooting procedures in the maintenance of interfaces and peripheral equipment used with computers; interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic schematics and drawings and make simplified versions. 
  • Provides networking and information systems support on training devices and networks. 
  • Maintains good relations with customers and ensures information flows within technical organization. 
  • Implements basic modifications to existing simulators.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications and Skills 

  • U.S. citizen. 
  • Current DoD Security Clearance. 
  • Three (3) years simulator maintenance experience
  • Familiar with TADSS equipment 
  • Two (2) years MS Office experience 

Desired Qualifications and Skills 

  • A plus (A+), Network PLUS (Network +), Security PLUS
      (Security +), or System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) 

Required Education
Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technology (from an accredited Technical College or university) or equivalent experience
